Everyone loves a good burger. Macro nutrient friendly versions are even better. This Turkey Jalapeno burger is not only delicious but meets the need of those who are trying to stick to macros in their nutrition regularly to gain muscle or shed some unwanted weight for the summer.

Either way this amazing burger checks all the boxes and could become a new regular backyard grilling favorite for those who are looking for a red meat alternative. Not too mention it provides some zest and kick to spice up your summer meals

SERVES 5

Nutrition facts (per serving): 32g protein; 29g carbs; 19g fat

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1lb. ground turkey
  • 1/3 cup sliced jalapenos
  • 3/4 cup low-fat cheddar cheese
  • 1tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 5 hamburger buns
  • 5tbsp. mayonnaise
  • Tomato slices
  • Red onion slices
  • Handful of baby spinach

MAKING THE BURGER:

Combine the ground turkey, jalapeños, cheese, and red pepper flakes in a bowl. Mix well with your hands, then shape the mixture into 5 patties. Place the patties on a hot grill and cook for 5 minutes per side. Serve on buns with mayonnaise,
tomato, onion, and spinach.
