Summer Spinach Smoothie

Beating the summer heat can be tough, especially when it comes to eating. Often times we can find it difficult to take down multiple meals a day when the heat index is high. We still need to hit those macronutrient and caloric intake goals to help us in continuing to get the most out of our fitness routines. That is where a good smoothie comes in.

This spinach smoothie is the perfect snack mid-day, or even as a pre or post-workout smoothie. With easy to come by ingredients that mix well in your Ninja Creami, or the Ninja Foodi Smoothie Maker this smoothie is quick, tasty, and energizing in all the right ways.

SERVES 2

Nutrition facts (per serving): 26g protein; 32g carbs; 8g fat

INGREDIENTS:

• 2 cups baby spinach
• 1 cup frozen blueberries
• 1 banana
• 2 scoops (60g) vanilla
  protein powder
• 2 cup unsweetened almond milk
• 2 tbsp. chia seeds

MAKING YOUR SMOOTHIE:

In a blender or food processor, blend all the ingredients until smooth.
